Consultation procedure:
Your therapist will carry out a full skin analysis and devise a treatment plan that will be carried out over the course of the 8 weeks.
 
 
Firstly, they will check there are no serious contraindications that would prevent you from having treatment. If any of the following are applicable you should avoid beginning the course until the advised time.
 
Diabetes - never without written permission from your GP
If you are pregnant - not until at least 6 weeks after birth
Taking roaccutane - not until 6 months after finishing medication
Cancer - not until at least 6 months after remission.
 
 
Your therapist will also look for any minor contraindications, these areas must be avoided during treatment.
 

Dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis
Keloid scars
Active acne
Moles, skin tags and warts
Tagliastacia (spider veins) and broken capillaries
Herpes simplex (cold sores)

 
 
To begin treatment, your therapist will cleanse the skin using a gel cleanser. Using a magnifying glass the therapist will establish areas to be targeted: uneven skintone, open pores, comedones, fine lines and wrinkles for example.  
 
 
 
Your therapist will carry out 20 minutes of microdermabrasion treatment to the face and neck, concentrating on any problematic areas
 
 
 
To conclude the weekly treatment the therapist will moisturise the face and neck with a moisturiser suitable to your skin type. During the period of faceforlife,
DO NOT USE -
AHA's, Glycolics or Retinol (vitamin A), exfoliating products. Make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturise morning and night.
For 48 hours after treatment:
 
1. NO Sauna
2. NO Sunbed
3. NO Sun Exposure
4. NO Swimming
DO remember to use a sunscreen with SPF 15-30 for the duration of the course and continue to use afterwards - especially for pigmentation problems.
